23 months not saying words

Should I be concerned by child doesn't say more than 5 words at 23 months?! Doesn't say mummy or daddy. Doesn't repeat any words we say either.

No, if there are no other concerns - if they are communication effectively with you to meets their needs and share their interests using non-verbal communication then it would likely just be a speech delay which are not concerning.

It might be worth doing the m-chat test. Nobody told me when my youngest had speech delay that it could be a sign of ASD.
