You and baby's day

Hi, just wondered what a typical day looked like for you and baby. I have a 6 week old, we tend to get up and have a feed, have some play time and a nappy change (can be up to 1.5 hours) and sleep (can be up to 2 hours) then repeat. The evening we go for a walk around 8 and he will sleep for the hour and get back home for a change, a feed and sleep for 6 hours. He has a bath every other day as well.

Hi!
My LO is 8 weeks and we are much the same, have been since about 6 weeks. An average day may look like this

5.30/6am - wake up, nappy and feed, cuddles
6.30/7am - we both get dressed and play downstairs for half an hour
7-9 - nap in sling
9.30/10ish - nappy, feed, play
12ish - nap in pram during our walk
3/4ish - nappy, feed, play
Nap time is tricky at this time, he can be fussy! He usually falls asleep in five mins flat but at this time it can take an hour
6.30/7ish - go upstairs for nappy, feed and cuddled to sleep
8/9 - goes into cot, sleeps until next day. Might have one night feed around 2/3am but this is rare

And every so often he will decide that he hates this routine and it will go completely out the window! 😂

Should have said, if we have a bath we just pick a time when baby is happy, fed and alert. Once or twice a week with emergency baths as required (like after an explosive poo!!)

Aw amazing, sounds very similar to our routine. I just always worry I'm not doing it right or he's missing out on something! Thanks for the reply Smile

We don't have a routine because he is 8 weeks. We get up at about 10am because he keeps me awake most of the night and then my day focuses on my toddlers routine and baby some how fits in. He is fed when he wants and he naps when he feels like it. He is put in various places, his play mat, his swing chair or his moses basket.
