Teeth and breastfeeding help!

My little one getting teeth was around the time I stopped feeding my eldest.

However, I know it’s possible to carry on but she got her bottom teeth a few days ago and every feed she’s biting me towards the end of the feed.
I can only imagine it’s what it’s like to get your nipples pierced!

She will be 5 months at the end of the month, what can I do other than saying No and removing and trying to relatch her? Because that isn’t working! 😂

My 4month old has no teeth and still bites when letdown doesnt come fast enough. He has no patience! Im back to using nipple shields. Bugger getting bit every feed 😬

I experienced something similar with my first and rang one of the BFing helplines.

Can't really remember the suggestions they gave me but remember they worked.

I'd give one of them a call. Have you got the numbers?

I would try your absolute hardest to not react or acknowledge it at all.
If you think she’s coming to the end of the feed try and take her off before she bites.
You can definitely still nurse, I would recommend the multi-mam nipple patches to have at hand just in case they really do soothe.
