Confused by baby's behaviour

Good Afternoon Everyone

I'm new here and I have a question.

I'm a first time mum with a 11 week old daughter. For the last two weeks she has been regularly displaying behaviour that I find confusing.

She sticks her fist in her mouth and with the other hand she rubs the back of her head. Oh and she grunts and occasionally cries.

I don't recognise it as any of her cues for food, a nappy change or being in need of a burp and indeed it often occurs even after I have fed, changed and burped her.

Does anyone else's little one do this? Any suggestions as to what it could mean?

Thank you for your help x

Maybe tired? The fist in mouth is probs just cos babies put things in their mouths, my DD always has her hand in her mouth. She also grunts when she is overtired. The hand on back of head is the only thing I don't recognise.. apparently ear-pulling is a sign of teething though.

Thanks bunpot. You could be on to something with the tired thing because she does rub her eyes as well. I like her to have stimulation anytime she's awake but perhaps I'm overdoing it! ☺️ She's just been doing it again but instead of trying to feed her more when she doesn't really want it, or changing her nappy 3 times in about half an hour or playing with her to cheer her up or because I'm worried she's bored, I left her to it for a couple of minutes and she's fallen asleep! 😁 x
