10 month old staring intently

My 10 month old has started doing this thing where he sees something of interest and his eyes lock on to it. He then lowers his chin to his chest and stares at it intently for a few seconds before going back to what he was doing.

It seems like such weird behaviour. At first I thought he was maybe having a seizure or something but I'm able to grab his attention while he does it and the more fuss I make about it the more he does it.

Has anyone experienced this?

Can't remember mine doing this but I really wouldn't worry, especially if he's work out it upsets you. If he's still doing it in 6 months I'd get his eyes tested.

Thanks @JiltedJohnsJulie I ignored him today and he did it a lot less so hopefully he'll forget about it soon.
