Hi. I have 2 sons ds1 is 9years old and ds2 is nearly 10month. With everywhere closed and restrictions on going out im now really stressing with my baby. Hes always been hard work, grumpy, clingey, whingey. But not being able to go out i just dont know what to do with him. My older son needs help with school work hes got. Any advice on keeping him entertained. He doesnt go to sleep till late so i have no evening time. Worried this no social distancing will have impact on my babys development .

Social distancing will not afffect his development, he has you and his brother to play with

Babies are not as bored as you think they are when there's "nothing to do" - in fact boring times help them develop and learn because they start using their imaginations.

Being in quarantine is long and hard for you, but the babies are absolutely not bored or feel quarantined, I don't think I've actually seen toddlers and babies bored?

If you want to keep them quiet for a bit of peace get out some safe things for them to play in the house that aren't toys - flour, Pots and pans, a bucket of water and some safe utensils (wooden spoon, spatula) they'll have heaps of fun - things that aren't their general toys!Smile take care
