hi, I am asking this on behalf of a friend as she doesnt have net access. She has a three year old son who attends nursery. He will use the toilet to urinate in but won't use it for anything else. He soils himself, she has tried sticker rewards, shiny new pennies for each time he goes to the loo to do it etc she is obviously concerned as he will be starting school next September. Can anyone advise of anything they have tried that has worked ?

Hi - have you tried posting on the nappies/potty training thread - you may have more luck. For what it's worth - I would keep at the postitive reinforcement and absolutely NO fuss for any accidents - it's really difficult but it does work in the end.
