What do you do with your babies?!

Exactly that... what do you do with your babies in the day?!

My baby is 4 months and I want to make sure I'm giving him enough stimulation or potentially not over stimulating?

How do you play with them?! What's your routines?

Anyone?!

Our DD is 4 months on Monday and most of the time if she's not being cuddled, she's in her baby gym playing by herself, or in her bouncer watching us do stuff. If the latter we do lots of talking and smiling and dancing etc, but tbh we're trying to get her used to entertaining herself. She loves the baby gym and can be happy down there for half an hour or more without any input.

We also do two baby groups a week and try to leave the house every day for a walk in the sling

Talk talk talk and cuddle cuddle cuddle! I adopted my LG at 9MO and she was pretty much over that baby stage where they'll look at you gooey eyed and copy your facial expressions and she was well on the move so doing any of that with her was really difficult and I really had to pick my moments. I love her to pieces and they're great fun as they get older but I feel really sad that I missed that part if her development. It's probably one of the most crucial times of their development too and trust me it will fly so just enjoy it and don't overthink it. Talk talk talk and sing sing sing til you're driving yourself mad, wait for him to answer you back, pull funny faces at him and wait for him to copy, play simple 'your turn my turn' games with his toys, dance with him, read to him, cuddle him, do baby massage with him, carry him round in a sling, let him fall asleep on you. He doesn't need anything fancy, the above is exactly what he needs right now. If you do want to get out the house then baby classes are lovely but not essential and I found swimming a lovely bonding experience. Honestly though just enjoy him. He'll be a back-chatting, defient, climbing and jumping everywhere toddler before you know it which is equally lovely but you'll miss the baby days xx
