Won't be put down!

Hello lovelies,

My baby is 6 weeks old and won't be put down. I understand that this is normal behaviour and have read all about the 4th trimester, however I'm losing my mind!

I just need some time each day to have a shower and make some food without baby screaming!

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I was in your position, and eventually i just let her cry. I was as quick as i could possibly be, but if i had to put her down to have a wee or a piece of toast or a glass of water, then she just had to live with it. She is 100% reliant on me, so i have to make sure i take care of myself. Crying for 3 minutes while you butter a piece of bread is not going to harm her. Showers I'd do when you have someone else to take her, just as it takes me 20 minutes to wash my hair, which is a bit long for a tiny baby to cry.
