Hey

My boy will just not walk..he can walk unaided for a minute or two on his own he can crawl climb but will not walk 100% on his own for longer!! I've been to the health nurse with him and shes not concerned at the moment as he is waiting for an app for a hearing test to make sure that's not affecting him. Is anyone else's toddler like this or is just mine 🤯🤯🤯

My LO did walk a bit younger than this but she took a while from standing independently to walk and then she was about a month from taking first steps until she walked confidently and exclusively. It may just be a confidence thing but if he isn't starting to display advanced skills such as running, climbing stairs confidently and kicking a ball btly age 2 I'd get him seen by his GP

Oh he can crawl and climb alrite n starting to kick things so I'm not 2 worries but still worried at the same time as he is doing this a good 3/4 months now he can stand independently for as long as he can walk for but just keeps dropping to the ground and then crawls everywhere 🙈

It does sound a bit odd for it to have been going on for so long but he could just still be enjoying crawling and it's more behavioural. Any other signs that it's a muscle weakness. Does he stand from squatting ok? And does he ever use his hands to push himself back up from squatting? No clicky hips or anything? If he seems comfortable and no obvious leg deformities I'd just give him a few more weeks and take him to the GP if he's still doing it xx

He crawls on all 4's aswell does be so funny .. the health nurse said it looks more like a balance issue and because hes having problems with his speech also hes been referred to the hosp for a hearing test which were just waiting on an app for as thata the main thing that can affect their speech and balance so hopefully when we ho back the docs in 4 weeks had improved she will check his hips also at our app as he fell asleep at our last one n woke up screaming so we couldnt do it then Haha

Ye he gets up and down when has standing but doesn't do it often as I would like him to do it but he has improved so much with his walking over the last 4 weeks so maybe it's just time he needs as i think he is just a slow learner
