anyone else felt cyst/lipoma like lumps behind neck/back of head on their newborn when picking up??

probably nothing important but am still perplexed why my 6 week old already has two little movable lumps (feel like small glands) behind neck at base of head
argh!!

Yep! My ds is 21 months and has always had them. He has little lumps on the back of his head an inch or so behind the ears. I freaked out at first until dh showed me he has them on both sides (though one side is bigger).
GP seemed unfazed when I emntioned it, but I think she thinks I am a hypochondriac. Not sure what they are?? Probably some glands or something.

i hate it when people class you as a hypochon

i was told i was one when suddenly one doc rushed me into day surgery ..so I always persevere and am always found to have been completely reasonable rather than a hypochondriac!!

anyway back to LO lumps - he only has them on one side and that is def not a place for glands!!!

Take lo to the GP and get it checked. My Mum was told for 4 years that the lump on my neck was a normal gland, one even said I had Mumps. Turned out I had a cyst which was removed when I was 5.
