Hi all

My little one is 6.5 months Old. She naps fairly well, sleep at night has started to get a lot better. She’s always been chilled, leave her on the floor (safely!) for a roll around and play with her toys she would do that for ages. (I have an older child so it’s helped massively) however the last 2 weeks she has started protesting (loudly) pretty much alllll the time, she shouts and cries until she’s picked up or entertained. I know she’s wanting to crawl - she’s just started rocking up on her knees. I’m just finding it tough because I can’t do anything for longer than 5 minutes because she’s getting herself in a pickle. My older one was a frustrated babe between 3-6 months before he could move and would whinge a lot However this time she’s been so chilled I thought she may just be happy taking her time. And the protesting is loud!! It’s just getting me down a bit. I wondered if anyone had /has similar? Do you think it’s most likely frustration? Thank you

DD1 was a very frustrated baby, and it started to ease when she could sit, then further when she could crawl, further still when she could walk, and then the most content toddler in the world once she could talk.

DD2 also gets very fussy. She went through a period of screaming from about 5m to to 6m as soon as she wasn’t being entertained. We are now in full separation anxiety mode, so we cannot walk about of the room for literally a couple of seconds without her crying.

It may just be that she’s really starting to notice what others can do, and she wants a bit of the action!
