8 week old missing nightfeed

The last few nights my 8 week old is missing nightfeeds. He's gaining weight fine and hv said to just go with his lead and feew how much and however much he wants. He is generally in 4oz every 3 to 4 hours but sometimes he guzzles down the full 4 and others he barely makes it to 3oz. I want to up him to 5 ounce to make sure he's not missing that first night feed but he doesn't seem to need it as seems content after most bottles he does finish. Should I be concerned? Should I persist with trying to get him to take more milk at least on the running up to bedtime?

I wouldn't be concerned and would take the win, to be honest! If he's content after a bottle, he's had what he needs, and if he's gaining fine and happy in and of himself, i think you've got nothing to worry about.

I worried when my DD started sleeping through at 9 weeks, she was EBF so I had no idea how much she was actually getting but as said above if he's happily sleeping through then he's getting what he needs.

It's funny how we worry, even when it's a bonus of getting more sleep, enjoy the peaceful nights.

Is he bright and alert at times? Is he getting his 2.5 floz per pound in weight in 24 hours? Is he meeting his milestones?

If you can say yes to all of these, you really don't need to worry Smile

@JiltedJohnsJulie he is alert and meeting milestones. But I'm unsure whether he is meeting his ounce per weight I will calculate that today. Just woke up to him wanting this feed surprisingly but he's only took an ounce and is just wanting to sleep. I should enjoy this while ut last but can't help but worry lol
