Help - 2 year old goes crazy after bath

Hi,

I have a nearly 2 year old who goes absolutely nuts after having a bath. She gets so excited, runs around, jumps on the bed, and there is absolutely nothing I can do to distract her to be able to get her changed. It’s getting worse and worse, and I’m now nearly 9 weeks pregnant as well, so I feel like poo and I don’t want to be chasing a naked mental child around who jumps up and wees on my bed even though I’ve told her 50 millions times to tell me if she needs a wee when she doesn’t have a nappy on. Not that that even matters as she does everything too quick for me to stop her.

I’m at my wits end this evening.

Advice pleeeeeeeease.

Is she perhaps just enjoying being naked? My 9YO niece has only just grown out of stripping off any chance she gets because she likes the feeling so much Grin I don't know what you can really do.to combat that really except bath a little earlier in the evening so not to wind her up pre bedtime and wrestle a pull up onto her and let her get her sillies out in good time for bed. Good luck haha. Mine doesn't really do this so hopefully someone with more direct experience might be able to help a bit more xx

Haha yes. I'd say she might just still be a little on the young side to understand the concept of only weeing in the nappy too. With my 21MO we're still at the stage of asking her if she's pooed knowing full well she has and her lying her arse off because she doesn't want to be changed.... progress today though as she did change her mind 2 minutes after I told her I knew full well she'd pooed and decided that maybe it was a good idea to clean her up Hmm And on the rare occasions I've left her nappy on (bad nappy rash not potty training) she's become distraught when she starts weeing, refused to sit on the potty and run away leaving a trail of wee behind her Grin They're such fun at this age aren't they haha x

Had this so we do morning washing. Weekends is bath but nursery mornings is showers. Some kids can't deal with the raise in body temp pre bed as it wakes them up.
