Hi all
My dd will be 5 in a couple of months.
Can u tell me how you find playdates at this age in terms of how the children get on with each other?
DD is quite a confident child, and quite sassy and independent. She is also funny and caring. She started school in september and has made lots of friends-more of an all rounder rather than sticking to one or 2 specific children.
Play dates go well, apart from her normally having a little 'tiff' with the other child at some point in the play date. Normally seems to stem from both children wanting to either play with what each other has, or because they actually want to play completely different things. They then need a little 'time on their own' for about 5 or 10 mins, then coming back together like besties again!!
I know this doesnt sound like a huge problem, but seems to be happening on most play dates these days, with different children. The kids are always really excited about the play dates, and never want it to come to an end and are good friends.
Does this sound normal for 4 nearly 5 year olds when they have play dates, or could it all be stemming from my dd?
Thanks for any advice.x
