Tummy troubles on formula powder vs ready made

Hi, we started my daughter on ready made cow and gate at the hospital and then moved to the powder stuff about a week ago (she is 12 days old) but has progressively got more upset after a feed and looks like shes straining to poop. She only does one poo a day now instead of 2 or 3. Could she be finding the powder harder to digest? Anyone else had this issue? Horrible to watch her uncomfortable and crying 😥

Hi,
My little girl had the same issue. We moved her onto Hipp Organic and she was fine after that. We put our little boy straight onto Hipp and he didn’t have any problems.
It may be worth changing the powder to see if another one agrees with her tummy.
Hope that helps

Another vote here for trying Hipp Organic

Thanks for this, she does seem better on the ready made formula but its expensive in the long term so I'll try this🤞

You could try to give her a tummy massage couple of times a day... Every time I was changing my kids nappies I was give them a bit of massage with olive oil and was a huge difference
Good luck 🤞

My now 21 week old daughter was the same when on Aptamil. Switched to cow and gate nothing changed it only made her reflux worse! Switched to ready made hipp organic and she was a changed baby in 2 days. She's still on ready made hipp organic as I'm lazy with the powder.

My little one was on the cow and gate powder to start with but was getting horribly constipated and staining all day. The midwife suggested giving him a few ready made bottles to help things along so it is obviously easier for them to digest and did go through him a little better. He is now on their comfort formula and is a changed baby!
