Help! Can any1 tell me why babies cry in their sleep? My LO has been doing it now for the past 6wks, it sounds like she's in some sort of pain. It only lasts a few seconds and then she falls asleep again.

Just so that your heart jumps into your mouth I think! Dunno, but mines still doing it and he's 2 and a half. It's just some little dream, don't worry.

Ds2 used to do this - it really freaked me out as the other two never did. It got better, but he will still occasionally cry out (he's just turned two) but I have learned to tell the sleep cry from an awake one. Thank god.

Ds2 who is 11 months does this and when i go in (i am up like a shot ) he is fast asleep.

Ds1 shouts out 'Whasssaaaatt?' when he is asleep!
Blardy scares the life out of me!
