Not walking at 21 months

My LO is 21 months and she isn't yet walking. I just wondered if anyone else was in the same boat? She met her other milestones at a fairly average time...sat up 8 months, crawled 9 months, pulled up 11 months. I took her to see the HV at 18 months who was happy with the way she stood, her feet etc. She took 3 independent steps a week ago but just doesn't seem interested in walking, she'll only walk holding hands very much when she wants to. Sleeps well, eats well, very happy little girl. The HV said they consider the normal walking range up until age 2 if there's no other issues. Any advice?

This is possibly the most unMN thing I've ever said, have you tried enticing her with chocolate? We sat on the floor with my DS facing each other and held out a piece of chocolate. He was walking in 10 minutes Smile

Hi JiltedJohnsJulie, thanks for your response, we've tried bribery many times, she loves chocolate 😂 she just drops down to the floor and will crawl to try and reach the toy/snack, then stands up if she has to. She just really seems to have no interest in walking at all.

If she's taken 3 steps, it will come. They often do this and then stop walking for a short while and go back. As long as she can bear weight, she's fine Smile

Thank you! She's been weight bearing since 11 months, it just feels like she's never going to do it but I know she will eventually. I just can't seem to find anyone else in the same scenario where the other milestones were around the expected time but walking very delayed, all I've come across is all milestones being later or bum shufflers which she's never done.

I just wanted to update this thread, my DD is now walking at 32 months!

Full story here but the main issue was hypermobility:
