2 week old crying and unsettled after feeds

My 2 week old is really unsettled. He has been absolutely fine then last 2 days he hates being put down after a feed, scrunches up goes red in face and grunts a lot and sometimes when he is asleep he will randomly cry out like a pain cry.
He's not had a poo since last night so don't know if he's constipated or it's wind
I've been given him infacol to try and help with his wind but I'm not sure what else to do. Any advice?

What happens if you hold him, maybe put him on your shoulder and gently pat him after a feed instead of putting him down?

He settles, he's quite happy going to sleep on your shoulder or in arms

And how’s his pooing now OP?

Nj200 · 04/01/2020 12:18

So on Thursday after I posted I lay him down and rubbed his belly and moved his legs in a bicycle motion and a poo came out literally a minute later . And then he didn't poo again until last night which he done himself during the night

Is he bf or ff OP? If he's bf he should be pooping around 3 or 4 times a day. I'm not sure if it's different for ff babies though.

Have a look into osteopathy, they offer help with colic and digestive relief. It worked wonders for mine.

I had that with my baby, it carried on for two months and then stopped, he always seemed to have wind. It’s tough on them but I found if I put him on his tummy with his knees tucked up against his tummy this did give him some relief.

@Babydevelopment1
Was your baby sick after feeds? Mine is still the same scrunching up and grunting after feeds for a good hour but Is now sick after every feed as well. Not sure what to do

@Nj200 he might have put up a little bit after a feed, I moved him to the comfort milk. If the baby is still unsettled and getting sick I would take them to the GP, I know of a baby that had a dairy allergy so she had to get a prescription so she could get a dairy free formula from the pharmacist
