2yo loves books

My almost 2yo is obsessed with books lol. As soon as he's fed and changes. The first thing he does is go to the bookshelf. Sometimes to make a mess but often to choose a book and pretend to read it or get me to read it

He does look at toys but not as much.

Anyone else had or have a child like this

This is great! Encourage it, make a weekly trip to the library and avoid screens as much as possible to cultivate this love!

I was thinking to go to the library more often yes. I might start tomorrow

It is not uncommon for 2YR olds to be interested in books, and having books read to them, it all sounds great - it should be encouraged (libraries are full of toddlers in the weekends). As long as it's not the only thing that they 'play with' then it would be perfectly normal I would think.

DS is 2 and a half. He loves books, and the shelf I just moved into his room was a huge joy for him. But he also plays with many other things. I didn't see it as a problem at all, just that he was like his book obsessed dad!
