Poo obsession

My 17 mo has become obsessed with poo. While she hasn't started playing in it, she tells me when she has done one and takes great delight in pretending she's done one. She says "poo?" and when I ask if she has a poo, she grins and says nuh and runs away.

This all sounds very benign, but she has recently started pooing on objects (nappy on). For example, she squatted on her doll, pooed and then declared "poo on Tubby!". She also poos things, such as the other day when she laid down, pulle da book out from between her legs and announced "I poo book".

I suppose this is something you just have to grin and ignore, but I am interested in how people might deal with this in public. Any ideas?

You might be onto something, Pelvicfloornomore. Perhaps it is my little obsession, no dd's! This is getting more Freudian by the minute .
