My child is 2.5 years and his soft spot is around the size of a satsuma!
He was checked by peadatric 5 months ago and they are keeping an eye on him (we go back in 2 weeks) she said that if it hadn't closed any which it hasn't that we would be referred to a specialist!
I am up to 99 with the not knowing, can anyone relate? How was the issue rectified?
Any advice would be hugely appreciated!!

My friend's daughter who was born at 36 weeks was the same. I thinks hers closed when she was 2 years old. She took her to a private hospital in another country for an mri scan and several other tests and it all came back clear.

It can be a sign of vitamin D deficiency. Have you had the levels checked?

Yeah he had that checked, we've also been advised that he has no syndromes etc which are commonly linked to this! Which is a relief!
I just can't seem to find anyone who's child's soft spot just hasn't closed!
Apparently they will need to close it if it hasn't shrunk in size at all but I just don't know how, if it's surgery or if there is something else that they can do!

That's good they aren't worried about an underlying cause. I'm guessing surgery then probably similar to when the do a cranioplasty?
