Screen time hell

So we did the most stupid thing with my toddler when he was smaller, and introduced the iPad at meal times in a desperate bid to get him to eat something. Yes I hear the groans and eye rolls now!! Blush

But now we've gone full circle and he's not eating as he's too engrossed in watching the iPad. So we need to ditch the iPad!!
I'm after some tips from anyone that's done it. Do we just go cold turkey, and deal with the fall out for a couple of days, or phase it out slowly?
I'm so annoyed with myself that I've got into this mess SadSad

How old is he? are you able to "negotiate" with him? i.e. "eat first, some iPad after you finish everything in your plate"

@AladdinMum he's 2. We try negotiating but that doesn't work which is why we thought we should ditch it

Let the battery on iPad run flat ( just remove screen saver and shutting down, during hw night it will have zero power. The next morning the iPad will be “ broken” oh no, but is is okay, s you will bring it to the repair man. Meanwhile such a bad luck, tv and phone are broken too. So no screens for a week .
Sit the three of you for meals as a family. Eat together talking to each other. Let the screen addiction be painful for days knowing it will be a lot better in the long run.
