My 5 (very nearly 6) year old absolutely can not cope with loosing. It is worse if we are out at a party and he looses at a game. He will make a dramatic exit and run out of the game insisting he wants to go home then be grumpy for ages afterwards.
I try to ignore this behavior and point out that the other children are not behaving like this. I have talked to him at no ends about winning and losing and how to behave appropriately, I've even tried reward charts and bribery!
He just gets the red mist and I dont know what else to do. Any ideas greatly appreciated thank you.
