Why does 10mo ds2 want to snog me?

He keeps opening his mouth wide and trying to clamp it over mine. All the while burbling and babbling delightedly. When he succeeds he sucks away for a couple of seconds and even sticks his tongue in!

This is a new one for me - neither of my other two LOs did this.

He loves you - it's cute - he's only 10 months old it's fine

Jazzicatz · 21/08/2007 16:19

The joys of boys - my ds 2.8 still does it!

DS does this on my cheek when he kisses me - think it is sweet if a bit wet

FireFaerie · 21/08/2007 16:20

Aww, bless!
It must be peculiar for you because of what you associate it with, but to him its just sucking his toes, but with mummy instead
(P.S Sorry for likening you to a foot)

Oh I'm not worried about it - I agree it is cute . It's just weird. He used to latch on to my chin, and even give me hickies as his suction was so strong, but I haven't let him do that since he cut two teeth. This began out of the blue in the last few weeks.

Those sharp little teeth scrape!

because he loves you!

My DS does this too. He's 5 months and he lurches back off my shoulder and lunges forward and tries to go in for a smacker. He's given me loads of hickies too.

It's sweet but slightly alarming at the same time
