temper in 1 year old?

hello, my DD nearly 1 year old, has started throwing her head back and arching her back screaming when she doesn't get to for example, hold the remote control, or grab her bottle when i put it on the floor, or play for my mobile phone - basically when she doesn't get her own way. she throws her head back so far that she's hurt me and herself if i'm holding her. if she's on the floor she throws herself face down screaming... i'm thinking this is fairly normal behaviour.... but thought i could do with some reassurance as it does frighten me a little... i have a horrendous temper and would hate for her to inherit or display it at this early age.. any thoughts?

have you seen this thread? it's very similar.

think it's generally to do with frustration but it's incredibly hard. My ds went through a brief phase of banging his head on the wall / floor if he couldn't get his own way.

good luck
