My dd 7 was referred to OT by the assistant head of school because of something that happened at school and my dd got upset and took a long time for her to calm down. She was referred in year 2 and the teacher then said it had nothing to do with her. This years teacher is equally surprised she was referred. It is like she has matured a little. OT called me up and said they weren’t sure how they could help really. They said she might be on the autistic spectrum. However she was not saying that she was autistic but does have autistic traits such as lack of organisation, doesnt like loud noises, relationships with peers, putting on a silly voice and something else I can quite remember. Even though she’s often on her own she seems happy. They said to keep an eye on it. So nothing really concrete. Anyone had something similarly inconclusive and did your child get that diagnosis in the end?
