Just wondered why? My ds hates wearing them so he just goes commando, is this strange? and will nursery think it is weird?

I was trying to read this while the kids are jumping on me and I thought it said 'are parents necessary for boys'

How we all chuckled

I would say yes, to pants, if only to mop up the inevitable little patches of wee and thus save having to wash trousers everyday - don't tell me ALL of you wash all trousers everyday!

childmindersam · 27/09/2004 09:11

try boxer shorts!
My sisters 2 boys hated pants too. They are ok with boxers though!

smellymelly · 27/09/2004 09:11

Personally I think at home it is fine, I try to get Ds to not wear any at night.

But I think when out or at nursery it would be better for him to wear them. There have been times when ds has dressed himself and hasn't put any on, and we have a giggle at nursery, but I wouldn't do it on purpose.

codswallop · 27/09/2004 09:12

er yes
put him pamts on
skid city

codswallop · 27/09/2004 09:12

coppertop · 27/09/2004 09:49

LOL at skid city!

marialuisa · 27/09/2004 09:51

DD wears pants at night Cod (if she's wearing a nightie). i just followed on from what my mum did with us.

Fio-he'll need something undrneath for nursery etc. As cod says, skids if he's wiping himself??

sponge · 27/09/2004 09:51

Depends how old. As well as skids there's the danger of getting bits caught in the zip

JuniperDewdrop · 27/09/2004 10:07

fio2, have you tried taking him to pick his own pants? Maybe some with characters on?

codswallop · 27/09/2004 10:09

I owuld htink pants at night is not so hygenic
dont know why

mears · 27/09/2004 10:11

Pants are very useful at night when the old threadworm pays a visit

marialuisa · 27/09/2004 10:33

Well she has clean pants at night after her bath so not like she's wearing the same ones and they're 100% cotton...

Cod, what would a 3y old do at night that would make wearing pants unhygenic? Would have thought that bums sliding around on sheets would be just as bad and there's no way i'm changing her sheets everyday!

fio2 · 27/09/2004 10:37

I put him in some spiderman pants, on all your reccomendations

I just noticed his trousers are on back to front. He has gone downstairs and took his pants off and put his trousers back on!!!!!

oh gawd. They are charchter pants aswell that I let him pick. i will have to try the boxers idea

If he wants fireman freedom, let him have it, i am sure you will wash his trousers if they get soiled.
I don't thinks it is a big deal whatsoever, enough restrictions in this world without underpant pressure.
Or get him boxers, my little man likes his little man in those

Forestfly · 27/09/2004 11:40

pmsl Sw, i would have been over the moon if the answer was no
