Dd1 (3.6) has been very hard work for the past 6 months, she has taken to screeming to get her own way, i know i should'nt give in to her but i have and now she thinks she can screem and get her own way for evrything. She starts nursery in 2 weeks and i need to get her behaviour under control ASAP. She's very bright but not sure if she will understand a reward chart for good behaviour, we used one for potty traing which seemed to work.

Do they work?

How do i make one? How should i lay it out etc.. so that dd can understand it?

I have used them with my DD from about the age of 3.5. She loved them. I just made a little chart with a number of squares, made her draw a picture of herself which she stuck on it and gave her a goal to wok towards (toy, day out etc). She even started to discipline herself and on one ocassion took herself off the chart and threw herself in the garden as she knew she had been bad!
