Admittedly he walks pushing his walker along but I am really proud.

Just thought I would share

Wow! Well done to your ds!

mare · 17/08/2007 21:38

Wow, Wilkie! - that's amazing! My DS1 never even rolled over til 8months. I thought I had a problem on my hands as all my antenatal class mates' babies were rolling, crawling, sitting up etc by then. He walked before 12 months though.

Good going Baby-Wilkie!!

Trinityrhino · 17/08/2007 21:41

seriously
fucking hell thats amazing

Wilkie · 17/08/2007 21:41

It's odd to watch cos he is so mini!! Very cute though and he just grins whilst he is walking towards you. Makes my heart melt although I have to have eyes in the back of my head!

And you're pleased about this???? (memories of back breaking hours spent walking around holding DS's hands cos he was desperate to be on his feet)

Your boy is gorgeous though, lovely pics on your profile. It's amazing watching them pick up skills like that, isn't it. I'd be proud too.

Wilkie · 17/08/2007 21:42

I have a video on my mobile but can't upload it to my computer cos my friend doesn't believe me.

I won't be mean tonight as long as you don't get cross about plastic cartons.

Thank you - he is a cutie (although obv I will think that). The backache has already started. If I try to sit him down he goes rigid and won't bend in the middle

aww wilkie my ds was like that and walking independently across the room etc from 8.5mths
DD1 was 12mths to walk independently but DD2 is similair to ds and just started cruising around the couches at 7mths

PeachesMcLean · 17/08/2007 21:44

Not cross today. Have been nice since then, honest.

Wilkie · 17/08/2007 21:45

My DH is a professional sportsman so I wondered if maybe the good hand-eye co-ordination has come from him??

Wilkie · 18/08/2007 14:02

He isn't a famous golfer!! He is a teaching professional. It's not as grand as it sounds, trust me.

compo · 18/08/2007 14:11

my bro is a teaching golf pro too, and I know what you mean about it not being as glamorous as it sounds - long hours, crap pay etc

Wilkie · 18/08/2007 14:13

Compo - he has just qualified as a fully fledged PGA Pro so is looking for a head pro job ATM. Pay should sky-rocket then
