DS is 2.5 and has not really had any worries about leaving me before as a baby or up until recently.
Nothing has changed but out of the blue this week I dropped him at grandmas which he loves and does most weeks, and he burst into tears when I went to leave and clung onto me like a limpet, screaming don't leave me mummy I don't want to be here don't go!
I was shocked as he's never been like this before and it upset me. I nearly didn't leave him and was going to call in late for work but I did as I thought we had to start as we mean to go on and then my mother in law messaged me about 15 minutes later saying he was fine and happy playing with his play doh.
Is this the right thing to do just leave and go with it?
Is this normal and common at this age?
Please any advice is much appreciated x
