Have just sent my 4 year old DD to her room for scratching DS1 age 6. Has announced she isn't going to talk to me for the rest of the day now and is currently shouting at her brother. Am ignoring them but not sure if the right thing to do.
Just told him to leave her alone.
Have visions of her telling the teacher she isn't going to talk to her either.
DD is now crying.

And on it goes. Having all 3 played nicely for a good half hour my DD got in a strop, wouldn't stop kicking the toys and hitting out when I asked her too, so I sent her to her room. Her response :"Shut up!". I just told her to go to her room again. She is 4 years old. What do I do?

She won't talk to her teacher like that believe me!

I have a dd too, she's 5, almost 6 & she has been a right little madam ever since she could open her mouth & verbalise!

She used to be so rude & bold to me, telling me to "be quiet" & putting her fingers in her ears when I was talking to her, or just say "stop talking" when I was trying to speak to her.

She started school & although she can still have horrid days, at least I know she isn't like that with the teacher! The teacher said she is one of the most obedient children in the class

There's hope for your dd yet!

What do you do? Personally, I just tend to ignore dd. She knows I will talk to her when she has calmed down & started being nice again.

Same as DS1 age 6. An angel at school and a devil at home.
