Boys & Mums Knickers!!!

My nearly 6 year old keeps taking my knickers etc from my drawer and dressing up in them - usually when he's in bed. He does this very secretively and normally puts his PJ's on top! He also hies my "drawers" in his drawers. I'm not making a big deal of this but wonder whether it is normal behaviour and what I should do about it

Welcome to Mumsnet

I'm sure someone will have some good advice for you.

Tell him not to do it, basically.

He's 6?

ds aged 4 had a thing for my knee high, black leather boots, every night he would take them out of my wardrobe and dance about in them, he thought it was funny, he grew out of it. do you think he is feeling mummy needy or something? why don't you give him one of your scarves instead, make a big thing of it, eg: here's on of mummy special scarves that is just for you to take to bed everynight - worth a try

Ugg boys - they're great!!

Personally I wouldn't make too big a thing of it or turn it into an issue. Tell him you need your knickers please, your bottom gets cold without them! If he can keep his hands off for a whole week then he'll get a treat - maybe something more appropriate to dress up in or some special character pants of his own.

Im sure its just a phase!!
