Talking too fast

I'm trying to encourage my baby to talk. He's 18 months and babbles tons all day but no words. Sometimes I worry I speak too fast as I know i am generally a fast talker. I try to slow down with baby but sometimes slip up. Does this matter, will he still learn?

It doesn't matter, as long as you are talking to him he will be watching and learning.

Hi OP, my sister talks so fast people can barely understand her.
My DH has known her 6 years and still doesn’t have a clue what she’s saying most of the time!
All of her children talk fine 😀 it’s made no difference at all. Please don’t worry. He’ll be picking it up.
