When DD lies in her cot and trying to settle she arches her back and her head right back, if you straighten her she curls right back, anyone else experienced this? Any advice welcome

Yes, my DD did the same. Not during the moses basket/cot transition though, but when put in travel cot. She lay there all bent backwards, neck really bent, looking most uncomfortable, but slept fine all night. Think they are bendier than us

It must be all that freedom, we have the baby monitor at the top of her cot which I'm not sure if she is trying to see, may have to move it out until she gets used to it...it's an odd position isn't it!

My DD used to do that to try and look at her monitor too, we moved it so the light was covered and she stopped doing it. I'm pretty sure it's normal. If it isn't that then maybe it's the space that she has around her. If she is sleeping fine and doesn't seem to be in any discomfort, i wouldn't worry too much!

thanks lottielou, she's sleeping (ish) I think she is having a growth spurt as waking in the night for feeds (just when sleeping through till 6) oh well, get some sun on my face to hide the bags...ha ha

I'm sure she'll settle down. There are plenty more growth spurts to come. Yes sun is much needed for my face too, i wish you could buy bags of it, along with bags of energy please!
