Fears

Hi!
My DD is 2, we'd nailed bath time a whole back (apart from hair washing), she's never liked that. But she loved splashing in the bath, and enjoys swimming (although we haven't actually been swimming for the past couple of weeks, so I don't know if she still does).
Last week, I gave her a bath and she did a tiny little wee in it, with that, she started screaming and was desperate to get out. I sat her on her little potty and she didn't do anything, but I could tell she needed to go. After a few mins I put a nappy on her and all was fine. A few days after, I gave her another bath, and although she didn't wee, from the moment I undressed her there were tears. She was holding her legs together, knees inverted inwards as though she was desperate. I'd read online, that you should never force your child if they have a fear of something. For some reason my DD now has this complex about having her nappy off. I tried a strip wash tonight and again she just wanted her nappy on. Any advice?

Thanks. Smile

Sounds like she noticed that she wees and since she's only used to wee in the nappy it scared her.
Maybe time to start potty training?

@SmartPlay I have given it a go, on the off day or two, but never follow through with it as she seems to be terrified. She'll hold her wee in for hours and if I sit her on the potty she'll cry relentlessly. Really struggling knowing what to do.
