Suddenly bed wetting

My DS is 3 in November and potty training started 6 weeks ago. Day one he had a few accidents and we haven’t had a single accident since. Week 2 of potty training he woke up in the morning completely try for around 8 nights so we took his nappy off. He didn’t have a single accident until last Friday and then was dry again for 2 nights. He’s then wet the bed every night since. No other issues or changes and no liquid an hour before bed. Will I confuse him putting the nappy back on or shall I continue with no nappy. I’m not sure what’s to do for the best.

So you are only talking about a few weeks since he's been dry so I wouldn't call it sudden bed wetting at all.

He is only small, not even 3 the potty training adventure has hardly started so I'm quite confident to say a nappy would confuse him and if he did wonder about 2 seconds later he'll have forgotten about it anyway.

He is very young to be dry at night so I wouldn't persevere, I would just put a pull up on for 3-6months. Tell him it's night time pants that he can pull down for a wee if he needs to. My ds is 5 and if he's exceptionally tired he will wet the bed, we still have a wet bed every 8 weeks or so.
