How much do the leaps affect your dc? My DS is 10 weeks but was 17 days late so going by his due date he is currently in the third leap. Since yesterday, he has been feeding a lot more and seems to be constantly frustrated. I have been feeling a little unwell today so though he might be too but he seems fine just really frustrated and crying a lot. Not a proper upset or in pain cry, mostly just a whiney cry. I think it is to do with the leap but not sure.. Just wondering if anyone else really noticed a difference?

I have the app and a 10 month old. I would say take it with a pinch of salt. Yes, they do go through these 'leaps' when they learn new stuff. But it's not as simple as the schedule on the app. And there's soooooo much other stuff going on too! Plus babies develop at different rates so it's impossible to be that precise. I do like the app for telling me what things hew likely to.learn nezt though- I just don't pay close attention to the timing any more. For instance, my boy has been really happy lately (during supposed leap) becuase he learned to crawl a few weeks ago, but finished a leap a week or so ago and has been miserable for the past few days because he's popping 4 new teeth at the same time and has a cold. Way too many other factors to say it's specifically due to a leap. That said, baby frustration is common. Join the wonder weeks Facebook group and you'll hear lots of other parents' experiences of the leaps etc.
