My DD has just turned 18 months and she now cries when I change her, when I put her to bed, when we get in the car, when I leave the room etc etc. She never use to cry that much. Is this just a phase? I work full time and she goes to nursery. Do you think she is becoming more knowing now and doesnt want me to leave her?

my DS went trhoguh a very clingy phase recently (at exactly the same age) lasted about a month then wore off. I had to persevere with leaving him at CM crying but it really didn't last that long... now he's started biting

She doesnt cry when I leave her at nursery just clings to me as I'm handing her over. Hopefully then it is just a phase - she doesnt even want to go to her Dad and cries when he comes near her whereas a few months ago she only wanted him and not me.

When she is crying I'm trying to find out what's wrong - I say shall we read a book and she nods her head but is still crying! I'm just not use to it because she is such a happy laid back little girl but the past 2 weeks it has been a nightmare!
