Biting

Hi everyone
We've got a lovely baby boy who is 14,5 months old and has his teeth and getting his molars. Since quite a bit of time he's biting me and his dad and we often end up with red marks on our shoulders, neck, arms or any other part he, literally, can sink his teeth in.
In the beginning it was a bit funny but now (especially since he's getting bigger) it's definitely not funny anymore and we don't want him to end up biting other kids either.
We now tell him off, gently at first and we continues to say as well No you hurt mummy or daddy / biting isn't nice etc.
Has anyone else had this, how did you respond and how did it solve in the end? I just feel that mostly of the day I'm saying No no no the whole time!!!
Any other advice for me in this situation? My own mum told me just give him a little nip back but that's a huge No No I'm not sinking my own teeth on my LO Hmm Thanks a lot Flowers
