at 5 weeks old he was exactly 9lb, today at 10 weeks and 3 days he's 13lb 10 !!! I guess any hopes I had of having an 'average' baby with a small appetite like me are right out of the window.

Oh and I met a MN'er while I was there! (though she's one that hasn't posted many times, and hasn't for quite sometime I thihk)

I have 4 children, birth weights range from 5lb 3oz - 8lb 3 oz. Bizzarely, all weighed 20lb at 1 year old. Youngest son from birth quickly followed the 90th centile line on weight chart, he's now 2 and is just under 50th centile! They all grow different rates at different times. Who wants 'average' anyway?

That's officially known as a growth spurt!

My Ds was a round little thing too, at 10 weeks he weighed in at a hefty 15lb 12 - he is now 6 yo and a tall skinny thing (he lust have stretched all the weight out lol)

TheQueenOfQuotes · 08/08/2007 13:08

lol ming that's what I though too. Mind you the other DS's were like that too - piled on the weight constantly - they've both heavy now (DS2 is both tall enough, and heavy enough for a booster cushion at just under 4yrs old ) but DS1 is tall and skinny, whereas DS2 is tall but still chunky.

I was going to get him measured too - but decided not too...........all I know is that he fits snuggly into his 3-6 months babygro's LOL.
