My boy is 15 months. He’s never been a good sleeper. It almost destroyed me for the first 8 months but I slowly adapted. Now he’s 15 months and he hasn’t slept through the night in months. The last 6 weeks he has been constantly ill, so sleep has been horrendous. He also has developed this awful scream which he uses all the time now which grates on me so badly. He also is such hard work during the day, he has basically started throwing tantrums about EVERYTHING and literally just whines all day. But he doesn’t do it at nursery when we he was going half day a week. I can’t cope and I can’t stand the sight of him or the sound of him. I want to get in my car and drive away. There is no end in sight. I can’t go on like this. I need some advice on how to get through this.

Vinci please go to your GP this morning and get him checked out, especially as he's been ill. He could be feeling rough and that's why you're having such a rough time with him.

Is the Dad around at all? If not, have you got someone else who could have him for a couple of hours today?

How are his naps?

It might be worth giving Family Lives a call too and talking all of this through with them, especially how you're feeling Thanks

Hey thanks for this.
I’m feeling a bit better now it’s the day, but no I have no one to have him. It’s really hard at night, but I always feel better by the day. Thanks for taking the time 🤗
My boyfriend works 6 days, long hours.
And the rest of my family lives in Canada.
I’m a teacher, it’s summer hols at the moment so I get no respite. It gets to be a lot.
I’m going to check out the group you suggested.
I took him to doc on Sat AM and they said fluid behind ears but nothing more. If he’s not feeling better soon, I’ll take him back.

Thanks again.

It. An be really intense at this age, especially if he's feeling unwell.

Does he improve if you give him paracetamol?

I'm so sorry you don't have any family nearby. Could he go to Nursery to give you a break?
