....dgs is 3.5 and will only watch a TV screen if the colour is turned off...has anyone come across this, if it's in colour he isn't interested and if he does want to watch he turns it to black and white...he has always done this since he was 2

he was brilliant

My ds went through a phase of this when he was just under 3. I think it was a control thing (his being in control, rather than the TV control iyswim!). He was fascinated at being able to do it. The interest waned after a couple of weeks and we're back to technicolour glory.

zippit · 05/08/2007 13:05

I don't think it is a control thing as he has been like this for ages and if it is on for him he chooses black and white and if it is on for everyone he just doesn't watch he does something else.....

Oh, I love Harold Lloyd. Marvellous! Have the theme tune in my head now!

Don't know re dgs, Zippi. Is he perhaps from the 1950s?

suzywong · 05/08/2007 13:11

gosh, that was a quick 6th month break HM

hunkermunker · 05/08/2007 13:12

[Rip Van Winkle]

My, how your beard has grown, Suzy!

zippit · 05/08/2007 13:18

I'm from the 1950's

but I choose colour for things made in colour

though my kids did have black and white tv when they were little

dgs does high fives so I think he must be more recent...though his favourite word seems to be ridiculous so I'm not sure
