Do I talk to him enough?

Just wondering if I talk to my 16 month old enough

Every morning I go into his cot say hello baby mummy is getting your milk now etc. Then after he's had it I say I'm changing him now. Then I try and sit and play for a bit and do the shape sorters or whatever and tell him the shapes and colours

I then read him a chapter out of a book I'm reading him. I also read him a Disney story and some of those "that's not my..." usbourne books. Sometimes he is playing while I read so can't say for sure if he's listening but who knows. The that's not my books he is usually sitting on my knee but not so much the other books. Obviously the reading is spaced out throughout the morning

I will narrate stuff like telling him when I'm going to the kitchen and what for (to make breakfast) etc

I have the radio on quietly in the background and he can hear words from that? I also play him nursery rhymes and I sing along too

I'm not one really to be playing tons as I'm not a natural with such young people but I'm doing all the above so is that sounding ok?

Sounds fine to me! I used to just chat to mine all day long and at 16 and 12 they never shut up 😀
