Fussy at the breast

Hi

I have a 3 week old who is EBF, he’s been fine. And is gaining weight really well, however the last 2 days he has been awful at the boob, crying, pulling off constantly, not latching- backing away. wriggling when on, going red in the face when on. I’m really confused, is this normal fussiness? I know my let down is quite strong and he gulps away at times. However I wasn’t having any issues before now. Now I would say it’s 50% of feeds. Any advice welcome thanks!

My little one is now 11 weeks and he's EBF , he was exactly the same around that age I found that he fed better if I had him in a koala 🐨 bear hold as the letdown was very forceful , I also use to breast feed laying down as this really helped him , also I found that reclining back helped then I would pull my boob up slightly from the top to ease the flow . I also phoned the national breastfeeding helpline and they were so helpful she recommended that I read an article on Kellymoms website which was about forceful let down !

I feel you're pain as it's so frustrating!! But keep plodding along !! X
