10 month old nap times!

Is it too early to drop down to one nap a day at ten months old? Since my little one started crawling, she doesn't seem to want to have her morning nap. I was just wondering peoples experiences on nap times for 10 months olds? I don't want her getting over tired, so not sure if it's too soon to drop down to one nap or not

Thank you!

I'm interested in this too so bumping! Perhaps you could try it for a day or two and see what happens to nighttime sleep?

When my DS (11 months) went down to 2 naps it was obvious because he just stopped going to sleep in his pram on our late afternoon walk, which was always his 3rd nap.

Lately I've found it harder to get him to go down for his afternoon nap so am wondering the same as you....

Hi how are you getting on? I think it's advised babies drop to one nap at around 15 months....

Have you visited this site before?

It depends on the child totally, 15 month advice given above is nonsense every baby is different.

For us it happened with my youngest at 9 months, basically he just kept sleeping longer and longer (like over 2.5 hours) in the morning nap so didn't go down for a second nap. In fact I think the time of 2 naps was very short he moved from 3 to 2 and from 2 down to one withing a matter of weeks

Oh and you'll see quickly if she is overtired

Hi, thank you for the replies. We are still sticking with two naps, as DD gets so tired by lunchtime she gets grouchy and too tired to eat. I think that might have been a one off where she lasted the day with one nap! But I guess when they go to nursery, they will be on the one nap, that will take a bit of getting used to I think 🙈
