Baby standing up

My 11.5 month old baby has recently started crawling. I've also noticed that she has started to pull herself up to standing on furniture or on me! She is always on tiptoes and doesn't seem to have any problem until she relaxes and her feet go flat. At this point she gets very upset to the point of sobbing.

Has anyone else experienced this? Could this be causing her pain?

I’d say it’s worth getting it checked out - crawling and pulling to standing are usually milestones achieved a little earlier. It wouldn’t normally worry me but the crying when flat footed would in combination. It’s normal that when they start cruising they’re on tip toes, but not that they cry when they put their feet down. Make an appt with your GP to get it checked.

I'd take the above advice just in case.

However, re the comment above about crawling, I didn't crawl u til I was 11.5 months. I thought I'd read somewhere that it isn't a proper milestone - as long as the baby can get from.A to B somehow? My 9 month old still isn't crawling (though getting closer every day!)
