10 month old....is my son ok?

I’ve read a bunch of milestone lists and they always seem to list ‘banging toys together’ which my son has never done. He has also never held a toy in each hand.
He crawls, can bring hands to midline, etc.

He has yet to clap also.

He reaches out to things of interest. Is this a precursor to pointing?

He has started waving his arm at people and has occasionally returned a wave, but it’s hit or miss on if he will do it.

I find week to week joint attention changes. One week he will be all about showing, next week he will stop and he does coordinated looks. Is this typical?

He seems to have lost interest in a lot of his toys. Lately he likes throwing things, or crawling around rather than playing. He likes to bash around the lid if his shape softer. Shuffling things around is kind of like a game.

He also seems to be going through a tantrum stage. Screaming to get what he wants. Easily upset.

I’m not sure if these are concerns per say. I’m just looking for guidance on what is normal.

Thanks!

My 9 month old sounds exactly like your boy. Except he does occasionally bang two toys together but only after I showed him how, then he copied me. I haven't seen him do it for a couple of weeks actually, now I think of it. He can't crawl yet either but is working really hard on it. I drove myself crazy worrying about things (e.g. he's only JUST figured out how to roll this week! 🤨) but babies do different things at different paces. E.g. my boy is babbling really well, better than the other older babies we know. They just work on different skills. He doesn't clap or point yet either but I'm sure he will in time.
I know a lady with a 10 month old who is practically walking and has been crawling since she was 6 months old... But barely makes any sounds (part from.crying) and won't clap or point etc either. She's freaking out about her daughter despite her amazing physical skills that she's clearly been focusing on. I think everyone worries because no babt can do everything at once and is always 'behind' at something! The 10 month questionnaire is useful but I think also fuels the fire when worrying about babies :)
