Y shaped crease at bum

so my son is 6 weeks old and when health visitor was out last week she said he has a y shaped crease at his bottom, and at his 6 week check I have to say to the doctor about it. I looked it up online and now wish I didn't as its saying it can be a sign for spina bifida, or spine or tube defects. has anyone had anything similar and has any advice feel like I'm going crazy until I see the doctor on Wednesday thanks

My boy does...but it never crossed my mind until I read your post! He has been seen by a few doctors and no one has mentioned it.

He is 8 months...very strong...crawling...sitting up and standing so I'm not too worried but will speak to my HV tomorrow about it and let you know what she says.
Looking on line...it's scary but there are also lots of people who say their babies have it and are absolutely fine. Keep us updated xx

I think a lot of babies have this without any issues. It probably could be a sign but not necessarily. Don’t worry too much :)
