Toys for newborn

I guess she doesn't really need that much yet.

Though I have to say Rockabye Baby Led Zeppelin is fabulous and sends her straight to sleep.

Any recommendations?

An activity mat for in a few weeks - plus high contrast books or pictures. Black on white etc.

Also tiny love do a good mobile to hang above their cot, but if she is in a moses basket u won't be able to attach it!

Looks a bit hard (as in painful) for a newborn?

if not in a cot, you could get a normal mobile (Flensted do the best ones) to hang from ceiling, or one of those travel arches you can clip on the moses basket / boucner / pram / carseat etc.

Or a frieze thing to look at thus, though bet they are cheaper elsewhere. Or just draw black and white patterns on a long strip of paper...

I recently visited a baby unit within a nursery with DS2, who at the time, was only 6 weeks old. They'd decorated the nursery with jumbo paperchains made from black paper and white paper. DS2 could NOT take his eyes off of them, throughout the whole time we were there. He was FASCINATED.

So much so, I made some for his room and he loved them. So, would certainly recommend this for a cheap and cheerful toy!

Was slightly confused by your OP though - do you want something to stimulate or send to sleep?

As a newborn my DD was obsessed with lights, music and anything that moved. A mobile + turn your lights on??
